I keep forgetting to update this place.triplefacepalm.jpg After all the ramp-up about the Palm Pre happening with me you’d kind of expect a “HOLY FUCKING SHIT I GOT A PRE” post. Even I expecte that to happen. But my jubilation upon receiving my palm pre came like a thief in the night. To be completely honest I had buyers remorse for a few days following. The feeling was more like “HOLY SHIT HOW AM I GOING TO PAY MY BILLS; ALL I HAVE TO EAT IS RAMEN FOR THE NEXT 3 WEEKS.” That lasted till about the third day . I rooted my Pre on day one, as soon as I got it home. Day 2 I started installing homebrew apps and tooling around in the OS. Day 3 is when the magic happened, I realized I can do anything I want with this device. After some minor tweaking I have the messenger app on my pre looking much cleaner than the way palm provided it, It also shows more relevant information.

Like many other developers I wish there was more backend access in the SDK. It’s nice being able to easily throw together an application, but I want something that is more than an overglorified webapp. I want to make advanced API calls to the hardware so apps arent sluggish.

Anywho thats about it. I got accepted to the beta for M.A.G. on the PS3 and have been playing that exclusively when the servers are open so I can own some fools and find some bugs. So far I am in love with this game. I wish I could share more about it but I can’t. Look forward to me pimping this game once I am no longer bound by an NDA though.
